Good Article About a Dumb Idea

I am a super-fan of 24fps filmmaking. For the life of me, I cannot understand why filmmakers such as Ang Lee and James Cameron keep trying to push higher frame rates on the viewing public. Or why high end television manufacturers sell screens with high frame rate turned on by default. (I don’t know how many times I’ve had to set a friend’s screen to the proper frame rate.) Anyway, The New York Times has published an excellent article about the issue and the new Avatar film. Worth a read:
